SIMPLE ATTITUDES, BIG IMPACTS!

Did you know that a disposable cup can take between 200 and 400 years to decompose in the environment? Yes, the object you use in a few minutes and then throw away will become ecological waste that will cause significant environmental impacts for generations to come.
Plastic cups are made from petroleum, a non-renewable resource whose extraction has a significant environmental impact. When thrown into the trash, the cups are taken to landfills, releasing their components into the environment and thus causing soil contamination.
Furthermore, plastic cups, when used for hot beverages like coffee or tea, contain polystyrene (a petroleum derivative). When subjected to heat, they release styrene, a toxic monomer known to be carcinogenic.
Pollution caused by the disposal of plastic objects in the environment is one of today's greatest challenges. That's why Imobras, with the initiative to eliminate disposable cups on company premises, is focusing on their reuse, recycling, and waste reduction. Starting today, we are adopting eco-friendly mugs made from natural coconut fiber, an eco-sustainable product.
Fun fact: Imobras currently uses approximately 10,080 plastic cups per month!
Without action, we don't see results.
